Is there any difference in the shape and action between the Super Spook

and the Jimmy Houston Super Spook?

Is one better than the other?

The Jimmy Houston Super Spook is now labeled as a Heddon product. It was originally an Excalibur product--the brand basically jazzed up/improved existing baits (from the PRADCO/EBSCO family of brands) and released them under the Excalibur label. The Jimmy Houston Super Spook was one of those "product improved" baits--an upgraded Heddon Zara Spook--but it's now packaged under Heddon's label. PRADCO owns Heddon, Excalibur, Cotton Cordell, Bomber, Rebel and Arbogast among others...

So, yea--it's the exact same bait.

Both versions of the Super Spook (Heddon and Excalibur) are set up with three hooks and split rings (and rattles). The old Zara Spook has two old style hook hangers without split rings and no rattle. I think he was asking whether the newly packaged Super Spook is different from the Super Spook with Excalibur packaging--they're the same lure, just in different packaging...
