Ghost noise
Has the noise been addressed in the Ghost Trollingmotor? About to buy one but now I’m reconsidering after watching a underwater comparison with other motors. I have heard it was the prop. But noise is noise. I know that video was back in August.

Ghost sounds
I was about to buy a Lowrance ghost trollingmotor and I watched a video that showed how noisy they are underwater. But this video was back in August so I was wondering if anything came about it or if it was the prop?
thanks
thanks

My guess is there are not alot of Ghost owners available to comment.

Re: Ghost noise
Despite having been told the noise complaint was BS, I have kept quiet about this only because I hadn't yet run a Ghost trolling motor. Last week I spent a day on DVL running the Ghost motor, and now I can say with certainty it is quiet, and the bass agree with me.

Re: Ghost noise
This thing about the Ghost being louder than any of the other motors on the market, think about the trolling motor prop turning in the water. That will create more noise that any fish will hear/feel way before any sound from the motor will be an issue. Learn how to keep your foot off the button and you will help yourself more than buying any supposed quieter motor!

Re: Ghost noise
I’m new to the forum here but I can speak to the Ghost trolling motor. I picked my new Ranger up this last week and spent 2 days on the water at DVL and Elsinore...
The noise I hear from this setup is from the top of trolling motor. The drive by wire setup on the top makes noise when it changes direction but I hear nothing from the motor in the water like I have in the past with brushed motors.
This setup so far is amazing. It runs great, super powerful, and I was on it for most of the second day and it barely moved the batteries off 100%.
I’m a huge fan of the Lowrance integration, I have 12” HDS LIVE units on the boat also that complete the package. So far so good and I can post updates when I have them speaking to any issues that may come up. Any questions I can answer i for sure will.

Re: Ghost noise
I have since bought the ghost and I recommend it to everyone. Very powerful. Quiet. Easy to use than ultrex. Now I just need to hook it to my HD’s live and get the most out of it.

Great Update BMX Bassin - its not often that positive posts get updated. Out of the guys i know that have switched to Ghost ALL have been extremely happy with it, sounds like your experience is no different.

Re: Ghost noise
I got the Ghost about a month ago. So far this thing is a beast. Quiet, very solid mount and very good on the batteries. I have ran it 5 trips in a row all day cutting weeds and bucking current in the delta without charging batteries and they still have a lot of juice. The bass don’t seem to think it’s very loud either. I had the Ultrex before this one and it was definitely louder and not as strong as the Ghost. We will see how it is after a year of use...LOL
