WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Florida conservationists approved an amendment to clarify how anglers catch and keep largemouth bass within the legal size limits.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) addressed some anglers' concerns that it was not feasible to document the size of their catch when it could technically be illegal to possess the fish in the first place.
The amendment aims to clarify the rules for documenting largemouth bass for FWC’s TrophyCatch program and also allows anglers to possess fish for the potential certification of a state record largemouth bass.
