Fishing Gloves
I'm looking for gloves i can tie knots with and all the while keeping my hands warm. Also being able to cast. Any Suggestions?
Re: Fishing Gloves
I use the under armour gloves that KVD uses. They are very light weight and easy to fish with. They keep the wind off so you aren't as cold.

Cooch put me on the fingerless wool gloves for cold rainy days and I absolutely love them. Keep your hands warm even when wet and they are easy maintenance.

Check out Glacier Gloves, made for Alaska fishermen. They also have a great line of sun gloves for summer (I think Aaron Martins wears these).

Try Filson's Merino Wool fingerless, by far the best I've used and have worn nothing but these for the past 10 years. They come in Grey or Black. They also have a new one I'm waiting on made from Bison down, little pricey at $98, but one thing I've found with Filson, you indeed GET what ya pay for! Their entire line up of outdoor wear is top notch.

Re: Fishing Gloves
I use the fingerless wool gloves, too. If it really cold and/or rainy, I add a pair of the blue disposable gloves, with hand warmers stuffed inside the palm, first, and the wool gloves over them. I can still tie knots with those blue gloves on. And I can feel the tick of a pickup with my line passed over my gloved finger, just like I can with no gloves at all.
CVS sells those gloves by the box, they're cheap, they last for quite a few trips, and they keep the chemical hand warmers dry and working, even when the wool gloves get wet.

Those are like the blue ones I buy. I think they are called nitril gloves. They are not the super cheap one use disposable vinyl gloves. They cost a little more, but they last a lot longer, five or six trips.Brian D. wrote:or you can always use these..
