My favorite shows are all the infomercials that WFN has been showing for the last month or so. 9pm to 3am PST is now dedicated to wall to wall infomercials.

First Verizon takes WFN out of the HD package and moves it to the Ultimate HD package, so I gotta pay like 20 bucks more to keep watching it. Now all the infomercials. :( I dont start watching tv till the daughter goes to bed so I get to start watching around 9pm or so. Sucks to pay to see crap like that.

Think its time to cancel!!

But to answer the OP's question: I like Lost lake, Classic patterns, Bill Dance Outdoors, Facts of fishing.

1.) ZONAS Awesome Fishing Adventure - I can't get enough of the Z-Man
2.) Ultimate Match Fishing - Joe Thomas

Then there are the other shows that i dvr and probably delete more before I watch but these two I NEED to watch in order right when they hit the DVR!

I like all of them. From College FLW, to the Pros, to River Monsters. Would rather watch any kind of fishing show than any of the other crap on tv. History Channel, Pawn Stars, American Pickers, WPT, oh yeah, and Tosh.0 are still some of my faves.

Favorite is Bass Pros. But I dvr a bunch of different ones including the FL. fishing stuff, that place is off the hook for the angler in anyone. Here is something though, and even though I tape it, I 90% delete it. With all do respect to the man and his fishing past, How does Bill Dance seem to catch 6lbrs every time ?...lol...just gets me iritated knowing he is on a private pond stocked full of 5+ lbrs that get starved before a show taping. :)

being a midwest transplant, i love me some in fisherman. the best in educational fishing shows and top notch camera work. while i'm sure the walleye and ice fishing segments are lost on you west coasters, i dig em'.
i still miss the old hank parker show on tnn. not enough catchy theme songs anymore.

#1 would be Bass Pro's and I like City Limit's because it seems more realistic. Most of these show's take day's of tapeing to get some good footage.

Also I think Bill Dance is fishing Beineville Plantation in Florida. We took a bunch of customers there a few years back to do some hunting and fishing and it sure looks like the same ponds we fished and yes they are full of 5 lb. fish.

I
Rod,

The truth for me was I had it in my DVR and watched the first two then deleted it off my DVR. I think the concept of the show is good, but the second one and watched the Dobyns sieries. FOr me it seemed to be an infomercial for Lake Fork Tackle, only using Lake Fork Tackle on the same lake, fishing the same stuff around the same time of year. I quickly lost interest in the format, I think if they were to change it up some allow anglers to fish AGAISNT the lake fork tackle guys - say a senko vs Lake Fork Tackle's version of a senko then we have a show that is educational, competitive and somewhat compelling.

I realize that Lake Fork Tackle probably paid to produce and air the show, but I think there other ways to showcase the product and make it entertaining to the viewer.

Of the locally produced shows, I liked Justin Wolff's "Pure Bass" and "Angler West" offerings. Too bad Pure Bass had such a short run. Angler West has been featuring too many kokanee segments as of late--I know Shasta Tackle and Pro Cure are the big sponsors but mix in a little more variety, please. I don't think bass fishing is the end all, be all of fishing but week after week of put-put-put-putting around the lake with dodgers/flashers and shoe peg corn off a downrigger is b-o-r-i-n-g.

I also enjoyed the locations featured on Fisherman's Warehouse's "Fun Fishing" show. Hated the opening tune and Warren's "straight man" schtick though...

Who needs TV when you have the Internet and Tacticalbassin.com? If you ever need a good laugh and entertainment just click on over to 'ol Matt Allen's website and watch him flip his hair, make up wild stories, talk about himself incessantly, flip his hair again, post a video with no real substance, and talk about himself even more! It's great!

Oh, and if it's TV we're talkin' about, Bassmaster and FLW are all I really like.

Wow...really? I think Tacticalbassin is the most innovative/informative site out there for guys throwing swimbaits and targeting trophy bass in general. I look at Matt's willingness to share pertinent information as an act of benevolence...not a story telling opportunity.
I don't know either of you personally, but it sounds to me like you have some issues with Matt and were looking for an opportunity to publicly attack him if you have to resort to comments about his hair.

I like anything that takes place out west. So Jarred Edwards, Angler West, But mostly tournament shows like Bassmasters. I also like Zona. He's a breath of fresh air. Tactical Bassin is great for a laugh or to learn about "Determination." LOL

Recently lost the World Fishing Network (WFN), due to an "HD upgrade promotional view" from dish network. That station is seriously legit. All in depth concepts and bass focused. I spend to much for channels I already don't watch. Still pissed.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned my favorite show - Deadliest Catch! All the crabs and without the itching. But I still love watching the oldies: Bill Dance, Roland Martin, Hank Parker. They still have the same theme songs! It's like taking a walk back in time 25 years - sitting in the living room, 9 am, turning on TNN (The Nashville Network), with the smell of Dad's great breakfast coming from the kitchen.

Hey guys Tactical basser here.. Now Mr. Lippert it sounds like you might be frustrated because you havent met any of your 2011 fishing goals. Maybe putting them down on paper would help??? Also maybe you are not targeting the biggest bass in the lake and need to slow down your retrieve just a tad. I mean come on guys who else will take the time out of their day and show us in detail how to choose the correct kindergarden scissors to trim our jig skirts correctly? Gotta love your self made California bassin heros
