Re: Favorite Crankbait Color?
I like all the natural colors. The two I throw most are ghost minnow and american shad by LUCKY CRAFT.
I mainly throw this brand only due to results I have produced.
It's what I have confidence with. I have these two colors in most hard baits and I also have them with and w/out rattles?
Try them spend some time looking into the colors. It's better to check them out in a shop than online. You can see what they look like up to them sun and so forth.
I think I spend to much time in a tackle shop BUT IT WILL NOT CHANGE!

Any other time of year, crystal craw is pretty good.
Right now the Delta is really clear, just a dull tan/brown bait works pretty well, along with clear shad patterns.
Another favorite worth mentioning are the chartuse crankbaits.

craw and shad, hands down, most of the time. Bill K

Fun fishing the country, each and every week.

Of course Delta Craw from Luhr-Jensen has produced the best results for me (12+lb. largemouth) but my favorite is my custom Bluegill colors from Jeremy Anderson.

Re: Favorite Crankbait Color?
In the fall I love throwing shad colored crank baits because the bass are just stackin up on food. In spring i love firetiger. and pre spawn i throw craw cranks and rattle traps.

My novice experience has taught me that da delta bass love em some red craw cranks, for me regardless of time of day and britness, but thats just my take

Re: Favorite Crankbait Color?
How the fish eat it, is all the difference. Pay close attention to how fish are hooked. Front hook, back hook, no bait showing etc...Every body of water is different each time of year...Stick to about 3-4 color schemes then figure it out. Shad colors, Craw colors, and off colors like castaic special in Norman baits. There are always special colors at given bodies of water, black red, mad craw etc... but if you pay close attention to how the eat the bait, color changes become easy. Water clarity, how the fish eat the bait, and matching the hatch. Thats all you gotta know.
