I prefer Interstate. Trojan is horrible. Everstart and Costco are OK and better than Trojan.

FYI - Les Shwab's brand battery is made by Interstate at the same plant as Interstate. For the money esp on the cranking battery, I would go with something other then Everstarts. The demands of electronics, livewells, and engines require lots of draw and this is the battery that gets you home safely, I would not scrimp on this item.

Oh PS I speak from experiance on this one, two everstart cranking batteries that "Tested" at 12amps but not throwing out enough CCA to turn the engine.

Ok, I will look to see how much the Interstate is. Is the everstart ok for the trolling batteries?

Thanks,

They don't call them NEVERstarts for a reason!!!!!

Every NEVERstart I have ever had has either gone bad early and had to be replaced OR never charged or worked right form day one. Stay away....go with the Interstate for your cranking bat's and Optimas for your trolling motor

I think the ratio is 1/6 is good, the other 5 are tards!

So do not get an Optima for my starting battery? Just get a Interstate deep cycle instead?

Thanks

No problem with the Optima for a cranker, just the price diff may save you a few bucks if you go with the Interstate

the blue tops will do both and thats what you would buy for the trolling motor if you want to buy that brand

also I agree with the interstate for the cranking batt

If you go to the Optima blue top for cranking, you'll never run into problems with low amps when you run your livewell all day.
A little more money, but they last forever, and you'll have cranking amps, electronics amps, and livewell amps.

I have ran Everstarts batteries in my boat for a couple of years now and never had problems with them. I keep them plugged in and always check the water levels in them.

Hope that helps

batteries and besides Wal-Marts are everywhere if you ever need a replacement while you're on the road.

Got the Interstate deep cycle today for my starting battery, now I need to start looking into a couple of trolling batteries. They are starting to get weak so I better start looking.

Thanks everyone for your help !!
