Re: E21 Carrot Stix LTX
I got the 6'9" parabolic action Carrot Stix last November. It's a light rod and works well for crankbaits and topwater. The components are fairly generic, but I don't mind. The split grip is trendy. In my opinion, the foam handle is a little too short. It could use another inch or so.BigBossMan wrote:Any comments?
I use it for Speed Traps, Rattle Traps, Bandits, Rico's and for ripping LC baits. The rod is surprisingly powerful.
For $150, it's not too shabby. I know that Charley Almassey over at West Marine carries them-if you're local to the delta.
Do a search on Tackletour.com if you want a lot of feedback. Just do a search on the rod.

Re: E21 Carrot Stix LTX
I just left Charley a message about your question. I can tell you he had the GOLD Series in my boat this last weekend for the Persuader and although I had 3 GLX rods on my front deck I kept picking up his Carrot and fished with it. I might just have to get one myself.
Re: E21 Carrot Stix LTX
I have 3 of the LTX series rods and i like them. I use the CLTX 761H-C for my frog rod this year and I am very happy with my results.
Last night i used the rod for fogs was 4 for 5 with biggest around 4lbs then switched over to cut bait and caught 6 channels from 8-16lbs in trees
the power/weight is amazing IMAO.

They should stick to golf clubs....I wouldn't own one if it was given to me... Jeff Reynolds turned me off.
Re: E21 Carrot Stix LTX
Normally I like to let the rod's speak for themselves but I will tell you that that's all I've competed with for more than a year now and most who know me know I wont fish with inferior product because I dont have to. With that being said, I also wont fish with product that is way over-priced for the quality you are getting. These E-21 rods, as far as I'm concerned, have the highest quality and performance you can buy for under $150. And remember, we always discount them with a $20 Pro Angler coupon if you come into any West Marine Store and tell them you are a tournament fisherman. We just recieved new shipments of the LTX assortments in Antioch, Stockton, Sacramento(Bradshaw exit), Rocklin, Pleasant Hill, Santa Rosa, Redding, Henderson(Vegas), Havasu, San Jose, Fresno, and now Phoenix. So go check them out, hold one in your hand, read the lifetime warrenty which, unlike most other tackle retailers, we honor at store level, do your own research and decide for yourself and get'em while they're hot. You can call me anytime at 925 200-9825 for any other question/concerns. I will also be at the Big Bass Challenge on Oct 18th-19th demo'ing these rods and some other really cool new stuff that West Marine will be carrying in 2009.
