Re: dobyns champion 734c help
Dobyns 734c is probably one of my favorite overall Rods. It’s very versatile and I use it for a lot of different things. Personally I prefer the 735c for a spook and whopper plopper. It also makes for a good frog rod as well.Hope this helps,

You can't go wrong with either, mind giving my son a call

Re: dobyns champion 734c help
I'm a braid to leader guy so I prefer the 734C...hope that helps.
Re: dobyns champion 734c help
Consider a 735 or 736 glass rods. Much more forgiving for the treble baits you’re speaking of especially with braid. You/he won’t be disappointed.

Re: dobyns champion 734c help
Thanks for the question. I made the Champion 734C originally as my personal Super Spook rod. I really didn't realize at the time all the techniques this single rod can cover. It's an awesome Super Spook rod but it's turned out to be a lot more than a Spook rod. It also handles a Front Runner very well in front of a Super spook as well. I do prefer the Full handle but sales are about dead even in this model. Thanks again!!
