Gauldern environmental nazi's...... :x :x This is a prime example of 3 idiots that are too smart for their own good, or have too much time on their hands where they have nothing else to besides look for loopholes in 100 year old laws. I sure hope they are getting their rocks of while they work on their law school thesis papers. I can't imaging what kind of economic disaster this will be for the ENTIRE eastern sierra towns along hwy 395. Not to mention those on the western slope..

I wonder who is going to be the first person to blame this on the Democrats

Look on the bright side.
Trout don't pose a threat to Aqueduct lakes, since they are recent, man-made bodies of water.
So all the trout that have been raised for stocking the Sierras will get dumped into Castaic, Pyramid, and the rest of the Aqueduct lakes.
At least the bass will be well fed.

Gawd, I just wish these futher mucking morons would just go away and leave my fishing alone! Jeez, I wonder if these guys fish? If they are able to get this done, I hope every chamber of commerce that depends heavily on tourism based on trout fishing, I am talking about Big Bear, Bishop, Mammoth, Kernville, etc...immediately file lawsuits against these morons! Then maybe they will back off.

How come we can't get three or four law students to say that the MLPA closures are somehow unconstitutional or something?

This is just another reason not to live in California. I guess on the bright side you are saving tax payer dollars you do not have. Oh wait the fish are already paid for by your fishing license but the state takes that to pay for something else. So glad to be an ex californian. Could be worse they could raise your sales tax oh wait that is coming...

all the lakes around here are man made except for Elsinore so how can they say that those frogs are native to a lake that didnt exist before the lake was built if anything the lakes made more habitat for the frogs to live in The only place i can see that they might be harmfull would be in the natural streams and rivers.

They're scum of the earth lawyers. Find a way to stock them in one of them rivers. But it's a noble cause for those three. And the tax payer monies being wasted. Kinda like that Lake Mead fiasco that happened a few years back. Tons of money spent to satisfy a small group that never even use the lake. NOTHING the NDW and the DFG is being policed. F them special, aint got nothing better to do groups.

tree huggers...wow!!! They will find anything to make a stink over fishing. Regardless of the trout being stocked or not from hatcheries....they are rainbow trout...these are native to CA. If anything I'd think the native's are MORE prone to eating the frogs or whatever.

Well regardless its a shame that slowly ONE by ONE...these kinds of people are doing things to close our lakes, rivers and oceans. Look at the Channel Islands...every year they are getting MORE and MORE areas off our coast closed...for WHAT? To help raise a few more reds, lings and chucks?!?!?! I mean seriously...then closing the seasons for 3 months at a time...to me it seems that they want everything closed. At the rate its going we won't have the ocean to fish by 2010.

SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS!

Global economy issues all around us...and they want to SHUT OFF another HUGE form of economy boosting. SAD SAD SAD.

Lake Casitas is a HUGE and perfect example. Local tackle shops have seen over 50% decrease in sales since the limited boaters on the lake...and even the boat rentals are slow. If this happens...I can almost 100% guarantee that you will see an increase in dropped sales and fishing in this state.

Maybe they'll get a ruling to return all cities to pre-civilization conditions, and then they'll be happy.
I love the environment, and saw the Sierra's 50+ years ago, when things weren't so crowded and polluted, and, guess what, they were stocking back then.
We are a part of the ecosystem, and put our foot print on it, the same as the seagull that craps on your car.
We may be poor stewards of the earth, but stocking trout isn't going to cause global warming, or ozone depletion, or the fungus that's killing off frogs and toads and salamanders.
If they're so worried about saving animal's lives, why don't they save people's lives. Help find a cure for cancer, or stop the war.
Or feed the hungry with the money they're diverting to "save" the frog.
These folks need to get a life, and some perspective.

I say kill yes kill all the lawyers who sue the goverment for the greater good for all mankind. Most of us know there just the bloodsucking pigs who create most of the grief for the common hard working law abiding average joes or jeans and just won't let the goodness in people triump. They have nothing better to do. I bet though that this was probably due to an assignment by a professor.

What the difference between a lawyer and a cat fish?

One's a bottom dwelling scum sucker and the others a fish!
