Last year I was talked in to upsizing to 12. Not this year. Dont think I will drop down to my normal 6 but probably 8.

I think it is what you feel most comfortable with. I use six but I do know people who use 15. I think you would do fine with six.

on lakes i use 8 in stained and 6 even 4 in clear. I have gone as much as 10 but thats my limit with a spinning gear. On the delta i use 14 but thats with a bait caster and a heavy weight (bubba shot).

I went to 20 lb braid last year because it is as thin as 8 lb flouro. It worked for me.

Well first off let me say IMO you dont need spinning gear on the delta. I personally dont like to go below 10lb test, but still feel a little uncomfortable useing it I tipically stay with 12lb test. So go get your self a DX 702C and a Curado 100b and have at it! I also use 1/4oz weights and never fish anything smaller the 6inches. I hope this helps!!

Thanks for the info guys.
Jason,Living on the Columbia I just don't think i could get use to using a casting rod for drop shot.I do understand what you mean though about spin gear on the Delta.Even up here I only use 2-3 spin outfits anymore.I will be using the 704SF(spin) down there for Senko's.And I throw alot of Flukes so that is mainly what that rod will be used for around my area. Thanks for the imput.GB..Jim
