Del Valle camping

Post by rexford »

Hey Gang,

Are any of you familiar with Del Valle camp ground? I am
looking for a spot long enough and semi level enough to
hold a camper and boat. I have never been there before
and was hoping to avoid driving out to check out the place
before I made my reservations. any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Rexford,

I was there a couple weeks ago. the spots are actually very nice. I believe that there are two sites for camping. I stayed at the one further from the lake. There is a site at the beginning at the lake, but I'm not sure if those are special grounds.

As far as the site I was at, the grounds are very good. Nice, even, grassy. Good for a family. They provide only a BBQ pit there, not a standing grill. The spot is big enough for a camper or two cars. I'm not sure about fitting your boat though. Oh, I don't know if they have hook-ups for campers either, but I think I may have seen another (thrid) area for campers not that I think about it.

They do have spots with hook ups. There are also big roomy sites with plenty of parking. The question is which specific sites will suit your needs. You might have to scout it out. Check out the East Bay Regional Park District web site. They might have campground maps to help you choose a spot.
It's a real nice campground.I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
