CLR for cleaning crazy hard water on boat, is it safe?

Post by Guy Williams »

I did a spot test and was too good to be true. White boat now and I don't want some other color later by trying to clean it. All the area that needs to be cleaned are just above water level or at water level.

You know it's going to hell when the best rapper out there is white and the best golfer is black.

Guy,

CLR is what I use, and it works great. I use it on my motor as well, and it comes out like new. The gel coat will look like you just had it detailed. My jack plate sparkles. Boat and trailer will look showroom condition.

It has no negative effects on any area of my boat. For $4.00 a bottle, it is the best value out there. One caution though, wear rubber gloves.

Cool Art, that's what I was hoping for as an answer. I know people that have used it for their outboard but just wanted to be sure. I like the gloves part, thanks!!

Wal-Mart, or any grocery store. It runs about $4.00 for a bottle.

Hey Guy I have used Limeaway on my black boats and it works really well with no side effects that I can see. Haven't used it on a white boat but Gary D has and really likes it as well. Just another option.
