Watermelon, Watermelon/Red, Watermelon w/black flake.........are you seeing a pattern here?

There are also times where I like reds, blues or white, just depends on the situation. Overall any of the watermelon shades work for me.

I haven't done that good up there, except one day, and if I were you, I wouldn't rule out the 330 color. It works! !
It might be lonely at the Top, but it's a bitch, at the Bottom !

Just from my limited wxperience on Clearlake, I can honestly say I have yet to find a color that doesn't catch fish there..I will say I do use predominately watermelon and pumpkin with whatever flake I can find..If there is a bad color (one that just will not catch fish), I haven't found it yet..

Its not a senko, but when I was there I caught a lot on the MMIII (margarita mutilator) by Roboworms.

I just go with the numbers! #301 is probably my favorite, especially when the water gets a bit dingy. If it gets quite dingy, #222 is excellent. As my previous report said, #221 worked great and is a color you can use all year. As the summer begins, don't forget about #240. The bass love it! As dark approaches, switch to #135 - it is a nice bright target for them. #194 and 297 are always good. I think Cooch likes 297 if I remember right. Good luck!!

First of all I would like to say...Larry H. posts at 12:21 am....do you ever sleep dude?!?!?!?

O.k. if you are going to Clear Lake in the next few days, color will not matter. I took my boy yesterday and we emptied my Senko box on fish. Color and size did not matter ( I love those Clear Lake bass!) we started with green pumpkin w/black in 5" and when we ran out of those, we went to red shad...and then blue pearl...and then went to 6" in like colors and then...well, you get the point. Typically, we will start with the green w/black and then go to Gator's fav color, watermelon w/black or red. But I have found when the bite is tough, Larry's #221 can get you that bite you need. :)

Flip em, skip em, pitch em and rip em....one of my all time favorite baits! :D

Does anybody use the swimSenko's? I have caught a few fish on em texas rigged. Anybody use them wacky? I am just getting into the senko thing. Also heard about the nail weight in one end of a regular senko dragging the bottom.

#301 simply rocks - right on Larry :)

I also am quite partial to 213, especially in the summer when it's very hot.

And I wacky, split, drop, c-rig, t-rig and shakey head um...pick your favorite technique and fish.

As Gator noted the color pattern you're pretty safe with anytime is; watermelon, green pumpkin and purple (MMII/Junebug).
