Anyone notice the catch on day 4 where he hooked a nice fish on a glide? One treble was on the outside of the mouth and the other treble was not in the fish. I'm wondering how the fish counted? Thinking about Steve Kennedy releasing an 8+ pound fish at Clearlake when it was hooked outside of the mouth. Have the rules changed in BASS? Either way he had an awesome tournament and didn't even need to fish the last day!

I could be wrong, but I believe that what constitues a legal catch is different for different states. BASS abides by whatever laws are in place for the state they happen to be in. I have no idea what the laws are in Florida, but in California, the fish has to have at least one hook in the mouth the be considered a legal catch.

From what I was able to find online, the snagging of game fish in Florida is illegal. I also found that you can buy a 5 year freshwater license for $71 and a lifetime license for fisherman 13+ for $301. Definitely cheaper than California.
