Had a chance to R & R up in tahoe and found some gills in the harbor leading out to lake tahoe (VIDEO)

The side canal at 15th Street and Venice Drive is one area in Tahoe Keys to catch bluegill and small bass. Not a secret location by any means. There are other areas along some of the roads, but make sure the access is not posted "No Trespassing". If you can get access to main waterway in the Keys, there are some really nice sized bass.
During the summer months, the water in Tahoe Keys can develop toxic levels of algae. Warning signs are posted when algae levels rise too high.
If you're in the South Lake Tahoe area, Sawmill Pond is one of the best places for young kids to fish. The pond has restricted fishing: open for kids age 14 and under. Adults can help, but cannot actively fish. Stocked with trout regularly throughout the summer. Get there early morning before the crowds. Toss a nightcrawler or salmon egg under a bobber. Power bait probably works as well.

You can access most places by boat. But many home owners do not like people fishing near their private docks.

I couldn't believe my eyes after seeing several nice 2 or 3 lb bass under a bridge, seeing a 6 or 7 pounder on the edge of the bridge shadow. NEVER have I ever wanted, so bad, a fishing rod in my hands!!!

Its defiantly stacked with bass they have even sent out crews out in the past to shock and take the bass of of there.
