Bluegill/Sunfish pattern lures

Post by Micropterus salmoides »

I have a few bluegill swimbaits, but don't have that color pattern in traditional lures. Do you guys use bluegill/sunfish pattern ripbaits, crankbaits, topwaters? Thinking of picking up some Lucky Crafts in sunfish, specifically the Pointer 100, maybe a shallow crankbait, the Kelly J, or the Sammy 115.

couple of my favorites are the "delta go to crank" speed trap in male bluegill and another great one is the deps realizer in real bluegill. both of these cranks are producers for me. :)

Yes, I have cranks that are bluegill oriented...fire tiger some of the more natural craw patterns share the same colorations as sunfish as well...double trouble. Speed trap makes some great ones, rapala, lucky craft etc... Dont forget spinnerbaits in the darker tones or fish catchin chartreuse blue. And for 19.99 a lil shell cracker just has to be the icing on the cake!
