Best Value for houseboat rentals?

Im thinking of planning a family vacation going the house boat route. Probably will have around 13 people. Selfishly I'd like it to be at a lake with big fish. Berryesa, don Pedro, delta, New maones. Can anyone push me in the right direction as far as value and at the same time keeping in mind we are looking for a quality houseboat. I know many on the Delta are run down and nasty. Thanks

Don't know if its a possibility for you, but for the last several years we spend a week at Shasta. the fishing is great and the vistas are beautiful. the best deal is at Holiday Harbor. super crew and the best prices.

another tip on Shasta.. since there are many different houseboat owners,,there is competition.. ask for a drought discount and many will give you at least 25% off.. Also, don't go during peak season.. Take the low end boats that don't have all the HD tvs etc..
