Re: Best Rod
If you want the absolute best then I would say a Dobyns DX 743 or a DX 744
You won't find a lighter, better balanced rod.
Go to your nearest tackle dealer and compare it with any other rod.

I gotta agree with Mike here. You wont find a better rod out there then the suggested rod here.2ndsuks wrote:If you want the absolute best then I would say a Dobyns DX 743

Re: Best Rod
I have all powells but I do have one dobyns and it is the gen1 734. I have stuck and landed more fish, with all size senkos, on that dang dobyns. I am thrilled with my powells for every other techn., but i know when i pick up that 1 rod with a senko im getn bit and the fish is comn in the boat. Don't ask me why... prolly just all in my head.

Re: Best Rod
You are going to be hard pressed to find any rod more sensitive at feeeeeling the bite than a GLX 853. You can feel any pickup even with a big wind bow in the line. They are pricey, but extremely good for a senko.
Just passing by.
Re: Best Rod
The Gloomis GLX BCR893. It's long enough to flip or pitch senkos weightless. And it's super sensitive.

Re: Best Rod
It depends what size of senko and what type of application . open water in stick ups come on now don't ask a question and all these guys have answerxs that don't help cause the application is the key.
Re: Best Rod
Depends on your budget. Kistler LTA or LTX 7' MH for open water or 7'6" H for around cover. If cash is no object and you treat yourself to the best, Jackall Master Stroke for open water or Jackall Rush Burn for cover.

Re: Best Rod
I think in a general sense you want something that is 7'3" or 7'4".
You want a fast tip and good backbone. If you plan to fish in heavy cover you should check out one of the Loomis flippin sticks.

I'm with the general consensus here, I use either a powell 733 or a dobyns 734.
