Pline CX Premium is a awesome line. I have used this for years and love the stuff.
Works great at night due to it's flouorescent color. And it is Flourocarbon coated. :P :P Its all about confidence.

Tight lines,

P-Line has a few options.

I'll start this off by informing you that I do work for P-Line.

The recommendation to use CX Premium is a very good choice. It's a small diameter low stretch line. The castability is awesome. If you need a line that is more durable, our CXX in the Clear Fluorescent has better shock strength and better abrasion resistance. Both will show up under a black light.

Just a few things to take into consideration.

If you take the stretch out of a line, and make it more sensitive, you will lose shock strength.

If you add stretch it becomes more forgiving, but less sensitive.

If you make a line with better abrasion resistance, you'll lose some castability.

One more note, we're in the process of testing some new fluorocarbon. It's awesome, it's extruded using new technology with multiple blends of 100% pure fluorocarbon crystals to give you very good strength with awesome castabilty. We tested it on the Delta this past weekend with great result. It's very limp, it will be the most fishermen friendly fluorocarbon on the market. The next generation of fluorocarbon is not too far away.

I have been night fishing for 30 years and have tried several different flourescent lines including Stren and P-line - many years ago. I provide flourescent Berkley XL - 17lb test on Shimano spinning reels for clients that need spinning. For baitcasting, 15lb flourescent Big Game is fine but I think 20 lb is better for big bass lakes like Clear Lake, Berryessa, Amador, Collins, and others. The reason is the safety factor - you never know what you will hook at night. A possible lake record can happen on any cast. A client caught a possible lake record catfish with me on a June night last year at Clear Lake - well over 30 pounds! The problem with a small diameter line is that it can't take nicks very well. A small abrasion can spell disaster for a small diameter line - no matter the brand. Big Game, Stren, and others have a larger diameter which gives me more confidence when I am fishing a rockpile at Clear Lake at 2 am! After breaking off several monster bass on 20lb mono line, I decided to use 30lb Berkley Flame Green Fireline, which is flourescent. I have broken off ONE big bass in the last six or seven years. Many clients have used 20 or 30 lb flourescent Fireline and love it. I really don't want to sound like a commercial, but I was really happy to fine a line that could stand up to the abuse I and the bass render upon it!!
