They are just starting to grade the earth and they have a trailer that's all painted up with Bass Pro Shops comming soon at Victoria Gardens! I'll keep you all posted, I live 5 miles from this place.

Ray, Team Dead Money is always looking for donations. You could use it as a tax write off. BPS is opening in the spring of 07 so they say(I think?). I guess I'll never be home before 9pm when they open, I also have Lucille's BBQ next door. Man, the valley of the dirt(909) is starting to look better!

Just don't get the hot sauces confused on your to-go rib orders.

Thanks Mike for your support. I have been to 5-6 BPS througout the US and they are really cool, but none have the real tackle selection you need to compete in local events. They might have a larger selection, but we have the quality. Thanks again. Rick G.

I know that I have been in several Bass Pro Shops over the past couple of years and I have never seen one of their employees that was capable of answering any questions regarding bass fishing. In fact quite a few times I never even saw an employee.

My suggestion is to keep shopping where you are shopping. Bass Pro Shops will do just fine with all of the tourist that will shop there.

I don't think they will affect Angler's Marine at all. Turners and Wally world and such will get the hit big time in the fishing and hunting sections! Aim, you are way out of the way from this place so no it won't mess you guy's up either. I still like the idea of competion from a buyer's standpoint.

Rick, you just hit the nail right smack in the center of the head. My one complaint about Utah is its lack of true inovative tackle that can only be found at places like Angles Marine. Bass Pro is a cool store that has some good tackle but nothing earth shattering. A new store in St. George call Sportsman Warehouse (which is a smaller version of Bass Pro) just opened so we now have access to a whole lot more than we had before. But in the end , it's the small specialty stores that will keep our sport moving foward.
