Not sure where to ask this.
Does anyone know of good bass fishing in Montana? If so what regions?
I have looked at the Montana link but looking for more info.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Bass fishing in Montana
Hi Gorilla,
Not on here much but saw your question. I will ask a question also - what part of Montana are you looking at? I can give you a little run down anyway.
I live in the northwest part of the state and we have some excellent bass fishing. Around Kalispell there are the sloughs of the Flathead River above Flathead Lake, Echo Lake is pretty good along with Abbott and Peterson that connect to Echo when the water is high enough. The Flathead River below Flathead Lake can be great for Smallmouth. Of course there is Noxon. That is kind of the main tournament lake in western Montana. Good for both LM and SM. There are many smaller lake in Flathead and Lincoln counties that have bass also. We have a pretty good Northern Pike population so you will catch those on the same gear as the bass.
Over east the major lakes are Fort Peck Reservoir, Tongue River Res., and Bighorn Lake which is actually mostly in Wyoming. Don't know much about them other than they are supposed to be good for both LM and SM along with other species.
You can go to the MT FWP site - http://fwp.mt.gov/ and go to the "For Anglers" part of the site and browse through their angling guide and search up lakes and regions by species.
If you have any other questions pm me and I will try to help out.
