anybody else hate the trigger on the underside of the reel seat on a bait casting rod as much as I do?
my "froggy webbing" between my ring and pinky fingers is sore as can be today after palming the reel all day yesterday. about 1pm I was thinking to myself "that's it, I'm cutting this stupid thing off all my rods"
why can't they come up with a reel seat with the molded finger cutouts like they do on the golf club grip trainers? smooth is probably better but I'm way over the triggers
sincerely,
my sore hand
baitcaster trigger, hate it

Sorry Mike;
But that's why they make Spinning Reels in lefty and righty models.
Ya see it pays to be ambidextrous.
Just swap the handle around and your good to go.
Lets see ya do that with a baitcaster

Mike; One hand casting in the past 30 years, I have personally thrown by accident (2) rods in the lake , trying to cast without the trigger . Completely slipped out of my hand flying thru the air. I guess thats why ?

Well Guy, I can flip & pitch with either hand. Left side is a bit less elegant than using the right but I can get the job done!Guy Kelley wrote:Sorry Mike;
