Anyone wear Shimano Evair deck boots?

Post by jazzwannabe »

Hoping someone here has worm them. How do they fit? I'm still looking for something better than tennis shoes+Seal Skinz, which keep my feet dry, but they still get cold.

I know guys that use them in the salt. They are fairly soft but not as flexible as you may need. Probably not very warm as guys wear them down in Mexico and on summer days. They also stiffen up over time. Go to REI and look at some hiking products. I have some Ahnu shoes. They are waterproof and if I wear them down here in So. Cal. on a rare rainy day they roast my feet. My kid says they are ugly as hell but he is seventeen.

I have used them tuna fishing in mexico and they are ok. The boots are not really for cold weather. The rubber will get really cold and become stiffer and your feet will become colder.

I just use the Xtra Tuff deck boots out here in So Cal... I throw on a pair of wool socks and good to go! they go further up your leg too so they keep you dryer too. They cost the same and the Xtra's aren't very stiff either and very comfortable to boot! :D

I bought these a couple years ago to wear with my rainsuit. They are pretty light and pack easily. I wear them barefoot or with socks. The pair I bought had a rubber sole though. Not Sure if they are still offered.

I have also been considering these.
