I would like to purchase the Lowrance Point-1 GPS Antenna to complete my setup and increase my GPS accuracy and response.
I'm running 2 HDS-7, Gen 2's with ethernet cable.
One persons review said it's not a plug and play option.
He says it also needs the NMEA starter kit.
Questions I have.
Do I need this Starter Kit?
Does it just plug into the back of my HDS-7?
Can I get it with a longer cord than 4 feet so I can mount it at the back where my Down Scan is locate?
I think I just found the answers to my questions. I found the Installation information on line at Lawrence.
There is definitely some cables needed with another power connector.
Thanks,
Rene

Yes you need stater kit
Yes the NMEA2000 Starter kit will plug into your HDS Unit
Pretty sure the Point 1 comes with a 15' cable
