I have a 99 TR-21 and I need to get the seats out, passenger and driver for re upholstery. Anyone know how to do it? I will be home tomorrow and can look at them more carefully. I know there is a bracket that connects the 2 halves of the seats together and I believe that it is also what holds the seat in the boat. I have not looked very well but the location of the screws for removal are not very obvious. I thought someone may have done it before and may have good info.
Thanks
Rich

Thats a good call.
There's a guy on there who goes by: EuropeanAM
He's helped me out a ton and sold me parts for my Triton when needed.
Good luck.

There should be some screws that attach the bottom front of the seat, feel with your hand along the carpet in the front edge, on my 01 thats where they are, when removed just wiggle the seat up there should be a metal bracket in the back that slips into another bracket. Hope that helps Steve

Not sure on the 99's but this is how most seats are installed on pre 2008 Tritons. The center cushion on the back rest has a small screw top center. Pull down the material and you will find a small hole. You will need a # 2 phillips. Get the screw out, pull the center cushion down and you will have access to the screw that holds the seat in place. There is also a 3 screw bracket that holds the bottom down. That one is located where your heals would be if you were sitting in the seat. Hope this helps

In the middle of each seat back, between where the cushions meet. It's a son of a gun, you might want a second pair of hands to help split the cushions apart so you can get at the screw. Plus the screws at the bottom of the seat.

Thanks gentlemen, I got a new pair off ebay for $405.00 shipped. Just won them this morning and when they get here I will instal. Then eventually get the others re upholstered with the thickest vinyl I can find. That info should really help.

Thanks for the tip, I found the screws on the bottom front. I was trying to reach between the cushions and find another screw but did not have any. I came back and re read your post about the 2 brackets and the seats slid right up and out. Just waiting on ups to drop my new ones off and I am good to go .
Thanks again
Rich
