These new styles include frames from the Tech Angler collection including Rigolets, the Tigh Lines collection Sigs, the Surf collection Hopedale, the Beach collection 12 South, and the Metals collection including Clink and Tionia.
Bajío’s new offerings include six new frames made from plants and recycled metals, so they are gentle on the planet and stronger and lighter than plastic frames. For a fully customizable eyewear experience, the new line also features fourteen lens options that are 100% polarized and include Bajío’s patent-pending blue light blocking LAPIS ™ technology that eliminates 95% of bad blue light in both glass and polycarbonate. Both offer durable anti-scratch properties and oleophobic coatings, which make sunscreen and water easy to remove. Frames with glass lenses retail for $259, while frames with polycarbonate lenses retail for $209. Proprietary LAPIS™ prescription lenses are also available. Each lens is designed for specific light conditions and environments, features exceptional clarity, uses the latest in lens technology, and provides a visual experience that is second to none.
Each year, Bajío introduces new frames, hats, collections, and colors for existing products. “Unlike other sunglass companies, we design and build our products in-house. Our in-house artist does our art” says CEO and Founder, Al Perkinson. “Our in-house designer creates our apparel. New Frame Styles, What’s in a Name?

Rigolets: Named after a deepwater strait with incredible history just 30 minutes outside of New Orleans, Rigolets means trench in French. The Rigolets supply salt water from the Gulf of Mexico to the expansive Lake Pontchartrain estuary. Along with the seawater comes redfish, speckled trout, largemouth bass, black drum, jack crevalle, sheepshead, and tarpon—creating a veritable fish highway and some of the best fishing in the state.
Hopedale: An iconic fishing community located along Bayou La Loutre in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, Hopedale (aka La Chinche), was established by Isleño fishermen and trappers after the American Civil War. 2 South - Named after North Carolina’s 148-mile-long historic state highway that links the peninsulas and islands of the northern Outer Banks, 12 South represents the raw and rugged coast life where speckled trout, striped bass, and redfish thrive. This large-fit, surf-inspired style features a bold, squared profile that fits right in—whether you’re chasing rockfish on the OBX or bellied up to the beach bar after a surf session.
Clink: Named after a stretch of spoil islands deemed “the Clinkers,” Clink is a big frame fit to chase the fish that call this zone home. This classic frame style offers an extra large fit, premium stainless steel, and sturdy barrel hinges. Clink also offers technical polarized lenses with proprietary LAPISTM technology to reduce glare and eye strain and enhance your fish spotting ability.
Tionia: Named for our main road here at Bajío HQ, Tionia bumps up to a tiny creek where kids catch little gar and play with minnow traps. Our home waters may be humble, but this tiny stretch of creek is full of life and provides a great spot to cast and test out our latest shades. In sync with the smaller things, Tionia rounds out our Metal Collection with a small fit frame for narrow faces. This style is a prime example of fishable fashion with a vintage appeal.
