      Water Temp: 66-67

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Water is cold but stable, strong cold north winds the past few days have the bite off. Still managed 12-15 keepers up to 2.5lbs, Monday the 16th was much better with the best 5 going 15-16lbs with the biggest being a 4.5lb.

Fish in just about every stage, water is stained.
      City: Los Angeles, CA

Tips: It's still spring time with a cold front, cover water, look for the active fish. One here, one there right now.

      Water Temp: 73

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The fishing at El Cap continues to be very good. The numbers seem to be down a little bit but the quality is still there. I had a guide client catch a 7 yesterday...his personal best. The lake has a strong allege bloom so be ready for pea soup conditions. The worm bite seems to be the best, with some random topwater bites to be had if your out early. We caught 12 fish with or five best around 18 pounds.
      City: San Diego

Tips: Fish a drop shot in 10 feet of water on points. The key is very slow and big rock and brush mix on those points. The afternoon worm bite was better.

      Water Temp: 67

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fishing in bigger body in coves with creek run offs with 5" GYB senkos in cinnamon red with blue flakes catching 30 none keepers w/6 keepers between 2 people, winds came in with over cast, switched to shad pattern pulled in 3 pounder in less than foot of water. Water is lowrering about 1 1/2" per day bass beds are above water. Clear water Areas I switch to smaller senkos 4" and 3"in green pumpkin and light green to match water color caught 1 1/2 ponder near dam where water is 68.8 degrees. Shallow water bites has slowed over past few days, thinkin it's the constant lowering of water levels Hope this help and good luck
      City: Fresno

Tips: No luck on reacation baits... past a few trollers who all said they did good if trout is your thing

      Water Temp: cool

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Super clear water, still pretty cool. While the trout were active, the Bass were real lazy. Along nearly every bank I walked along I could spot at least one very good sized bass lingering in one spot. I hooked into a very nice 4 lb smallie along the south side of Cleghorn Cove using a 3/4 trout colored spoon. At parking lot 2 near the marina if you walk south along the swim beach back into a small hole, there is some floating debris. I drew out several largemouth from back there under logs with Senkos. in the center of hole it is deeper than it looks and they seem to be spotting their beds, but they are not real active
      City: Delta, PA

Tips: Senkos for now, the water is real clear so keep them natural. Baby Bass, Salamander and trout colored is my recomendation. before 8 am on the banks and after 4pm in the coves. between 6pm and 9pm if you can get on some docks, Pig N Jig.

      Water Temp: 58

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: First time back here with son, John, in several years. Lake is at over 100% capacity, making it like a new lake from when we fished it before. Lush green hillsides and full pool make it one of prettiest lakes in California. Fished Picnic Bay without success before moving to White Oak Flat. Tried deeper off-shore areas of the flat looking for pre-spawners and then moved in to fish just outside the mudline along the shore of White Oak Flat. Nailed a nice 5 lb 6 oz. bass on a black Swimming Senko...great fight on a light casting outfit with two classic jumps that got the adrenaline rushing. John caught three smaller bass, one on a T-rigged worm and two on a shad-colored crankbait. Enjoyed the use of one of Don Lopez's aluminum fishing boats, especially because the outboard motor started easily every time and the boat was clean and dry. Don is a hoot to deal with and made our day very pleasant. We'll be returning to Santa Margarita and exploring other areas of the lake on which we've made lots of great fishing memories.
      City: Monterey

Tips: Be patient in finding spots to fish when there are four club tournaments being held there as was the case on this Saturday. Because it was fairly windy most of the day (12 - 16 mph), we found it useful to have a heavy anchor that could keep us stationary while fishing the windward shores (which also seemed to reduce the competition from the tourney anglers).

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Wet conditions made for some cold fishing. Launched from Lakeridge Marina and fished the banks and points on the NW side of the dam. Caught a keeper on a drop shot, nose hooked six in. Casper worm. Crossed to the N side of the dam because there were some white-water falls pouring into Pine Flat from the surrounding mountains. Threw a wacky rigged senko and had a few bites, but could not hook up, but lord were they there. Ran across the lake by the trailer campground and started fishing structure. Pulled in a two pounder with a river2sea plastic craw while the boat to my left pulled in a 16lb. Carp on a drop shot with 6 lb test.
      City: Fresno

Tips: Fish in the shallows, 5-15ft depth.

Report: Lots of trash floating on the lake still so be careful!

Wow! Level is about 15 feet from the base of the spillway. Hasan't been this high in several years. Great to see water in the lake bringing back some old fising haunts..

10AM arrival and headed straight to the back. Short stop near Vasquez to checkout the coverage in the back of Vasquez.. Nice! Setteled just past the last dock about 20 yards in. Started with our Bucket Mouth Jig in Wtrmeln/Red with a Wtrmeln trailer. POP! Smacked a nice 3 in 3 foor of water. Pulled three more in, went flat so switched to a Senko. Blasted two in a row over 5 at the boat. Busted off in some tall weeds. 9 total for the day with maybe 21 pounds. Good day -- Heading back Monday

      Water Temp: 52-56

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: This is tough winter bass fishing at Hensley. Bass fishing is slow at this lake but it is quite possible to nail a few very nice size bass if fishing slow with either jigs, baby brush hogs or dead sticking senkos. No reaction bite at all today for my partner and I.

Broke off a trophy bass in a cove of about 11 pounds on a jig. That will surely keep us coming back for more...
      City: Fresno

Tips: Fish slow, slow, slow. My first choice is a 1/4 ounce football jig with a 4 inch yamamoto trailer. Good luck!

      Water Temp: 51 to 53

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Pulled up at 10 am and went straight back the river almost to the shallows. Saw some shad boiling on surface and graphed some fish below them. Got right on top the the boil and dropped the spoon down. Caught a snag with a spoon the first time. Second time a 4.5 lber. Followed by a two 3 lbers on the 3rd and 4th drop. Bite slowed after wards. Saw another shad boil across the other side and did the same thing. Caught about 8 more in the 2.5 lb range. Had about close to 15 lbs. best 5 by noon. Spoon bite stopped then decided to throw some darter head and hula grubs as per the report. Got a few more fish with the darter heads with 2 quality fish up to 3 lbs. Nothing on the hula grub or jigs. Off the water by 4:00 pm. Man what a day.
      City: Visalia

Tips: Look for schools of bait fish anywhere between 15 to 25 feet of water. Spoons were working for some time. Fish are at the banks later in the day it looks like. The grub and jig bite didn't look too good. Good luck to all!
