Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

    Report: (Going for Catfish)
Middle of Summer(July/August) I was pulling at least a 1 lb. catfish every night from 8:30-9:30, usually biting right at sun goes behind the hills and staying strong until 11. September only yielded many young (9-10" max). It's been slow lately but still getting some bites.

    Sardines/Anchovies/Stinky Dip Baits have success

Personal best so far was a 16" 2.5lber out of Chesbro
    City: San Jose

Tips: Anchovies/Sardines work best. Bite is usually best 15 min before sundown and for a few hours after.

Seems like the season is tapering off but there's still reports of bites.

Report: I hooked one very small bass, but that was it. My son and I saw a fair number of good-sized fish jump, but couldn't get them to bite. About 3 weeks ago we made our first-ever trip to Chesbro and we each caught a decent bass (each about 1.5 to 2 pounds, very healthy looking specimens). so there are some fish in the lake. Both times we mostly used Mepps Comets Minnows, but also threw a few other things.
    City: Los Gatos

    Tips: Don't ask me.

Report: Ok id like to make this post on san jo bass but im havin password prbs. anyway i was suprised with such a good bite on saturday. Stopped off near the damn at the point that is actually a saddle when quite low....throw on the good polarized glasses and u can make it out might be a good dropshot spot when the lake is high.....anyway throw senkos green laminate/watermellon red flake around it that nailed 3 fish bustin the bait around that area. All fish were clones 1.5-1.75lbs nothing big but fun. Get out deeper on that ledge for the big ones that still remain!

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: My Dad and I went out to Chesbro this afternoon and we fished from the shore just north of the parking facility on the east side for about 3 hours. Before my Dad got there I threw my fat free shad crankbait about 20 times with no luck. I then switched over to a carolina rigged brush-hog and caught a small guy on my very first cast.

I pulled in another one about an hour later and both fish were just over 1 lb (if that). Nothing big enough to make me want to quit my day job.

My Dad caught a couple of fish on a jig.

Today I threw my basstrix minnow, craw colored crank bait, and of course the brush hog. The BH was the only one that produced fish.

I thought the bite would be better but I think since we almost have a full moon I think the fish are feeding more at night which tends to take away from the day bite (IMO).

    Good luch out there!

Only fished 1 1/2 hours and landed two bass - 2 & 4 lbs. using Senko (watermelon color) from the point just left of the boat ramp. Caught both on the slow retrieve at about 10 feet of water. Report: This place is prime right now! They may not be big, but you will get the numbers. So it is quantity not quality. Oh well, it is great practice to understand where they are and how they are biting. I went out yesterday and landed 10 in 3 hours, Biggest going 5 lbs. All fish were shallow in 2-5 of water.
PLEASE REMIND THE SHORE WEEKEND WARRIORS TO CATCH & RELEASE!

Tips: Anything, I caught them on spinner baits, senkos, brush hogs, etc.
