Wohlford

Lake Wohlford is located 41 miles from San Diego at an elevation of 1500 feet.

Wohlford is more than 100 years old and is one of the oldest reservoirs in Southern California containing 146 surface acres of water.

Lake Wohlford is open sunrise to sunset, seven days a week. The lake has one improved launch ramp. Boating is restricted to a 5 MPH speed limit and a 20 feet maximum vessel length (no sailboats allowed). Boat rentals are available at the ramp area.

No swimming or tubing allowed at the lake. Wohlford has two campgrounds near the lake, one on the north and south shore, with full hook-ups available. There are stores with food, drinks, fuel, bait and tackle, and miscellaneous camping supplies.

Wohlford has largemouth bass, catfish, trout, bluegill, and crappie are all abundant with huge catfish caught weekly and trout planted yearly up to July 4th.
