Puddingstone
Puddingstone rests at an elevation of 940 feet approximately 30 miles from Los Angeles. Puddingstone Dam was built in 1928 as a flood control reservoir for the Los Angeles Basin, holding about 253 surface acres of water.
The lake is open year round, seven days a week, sunrise to 10 p.m. in the summer months, sunrise to 7 p.m. in the winter. Night fishing is permitted from the shore. Boat rentals, bait and tackle, food, drinks, and fuel are available at the dock and store. There are several campgrounds around the lake suitable for tent, RV, and group camping; full service hookups available. Boating, sailing, water-skiing and jet-skis are permitted with restrictions (size restriction, Min. 8 ft. Max. 26 ft) rentals available. The lake is stocked with Trout in the winter and Catfish in the summer. There are also largemouth bass, bluegill and carp. Puddingstone Lake is located in Los Angeles County near the city of San Dimas, CA. From Los Angeles take I-10 East to Hwy 57 North. Exit Via Verde Rd. and go East to the Bonelli Entrance.
