Report: IT WAS A BREEZY DAY W/ A SLIGHT CHOP. THE AIR TEMP WAS IN THE 80'S W/ NO CLOUD COVER. I AM FROM FLORIDA ORIGINALLY, AND AM AN AVID BASS FISHERMAN, I HAVE BEEN IN SEARCH OF BASS SINCE MOVING TO OREGON.
WE STARTED OUT THE DAY IN SEARCH OF SMALL MOUTHS, I BEGAN SEARCHING W/ CRANKBAITS AND SPINNERBAITS TO COVER LARGE AREAS. WE WERE ABLE TO BRING IN 3 OR 4 SMALLER ONES(ENOUGH TO KEEP IT EXCITING). AROUND NOON I SWITCHED TO A TEXAS RIGGED PUMPKIN SEED LIZARD, I BEGAN TO FISH DROP OFFS AND SANDBARS W/ A SLOOOOOOW DRAG. THEN WHAM I HAD A GOOD HIT, I GOT EXCITED. I PULLED IN A GOOD SIZE SMALLEY. IT WAS 19.75 INCHES AND 4.6 OUNCES. IT TURNED OUT TO BE A GOOD DAY!!!! |
Tips: FISH DEEPER AND SLOWER FOR THE LARGER FISH, THE ONE I BROUGHT IN WAS DARK COLORED , YOU COULD TELL
IT WAS ON THE BOTTOM FOR AWHILE. |
