Report: Day after the Lake Mead Classic. Went out at 5:30 Am. First cast on main lake point is a fish. Drop shotted and he hit as it fell off the drop into 20 ft. Drop shot bite morphed into a dropshot and darterhead/5"Kalins grub bite over emerging reefs around primary and first in secondary points. About 10:00 AM the front came in. Bite died for about 2 hours or I lost the fish... Then the bite cut loose on a open hook rigged 3/16 oz. peahead worm. Used a purple Yamamoto cuttail and 6" "Warmouth" roboworm. They were coming out of 30 ft. of water to slam the peahead in about 10 ft. Pendulum bite for the most part... they didn't want any swimming action imparted to the peahead. They moved shallower as the day got later and cloud cover came over.
Tips: Move around a lot. If you don't get bit in 20 minutes, time to fire the big mill. Fish are spread out but sometimes you will find groups. Big fish might be 2.5 lbs.

Report: Been on a weightless bite and also a dropshot bite last week. The dropshot bite is on the walls from 20 to 50 ft. and produces smaller bass all day - anywhere near ledges or chunk rock 45° shorelines. using 1/4 oz. dropshot weight. Weightless bite all day also in shady places and offshore early in the morning before recreation boat traffic gets going. Got some early morning surface action on small stripers in Las Vegas Wash very early on Monday - May 21.
Tips: For the weightless bite, lure size and presentation speed seem to be more key than color. Varied during the day with conditions. In strong winds throwing a surface walking bait they would sslap at it and I could go back and catch them with follow up plastic.

Report: Took my daughter out for a couple hours of fishing on Saturday. Weather was sunny 80 degrees and windy. Stayed in Calville bay area, managed one bass around 2.5lbs on a finesse jig with Robo worm flipping craw trailer. Water is warming, fish should begin moving up.
Tips: Only managed one bite so no real tips. This fish was caught on a transition from hard rock to boulders.

Report: Out on sunday, clear bluebird skies with light wind. Managed 3 bites with two fish in the boat, both smallies one 3lbs the other 2.5lbs, not bad for the tough bite on Mead right now. Both came on a watermelon hula grub on 1/4oz shakey head in 16ft of water. Good luck
Tips: Look for the transition zones, sand to boulders to hard rock.

Report: Fished the lake for 4 days. Was extremely windy and made fishing tough. Fish where all holding deep in about 20ft of water. Clear water made it tough, most fish came off cotton candy colored senko's and Grape colored robo worms. Did catch a couple jigging with chatterbaits. Mainly caught LM a few smallies and a couple stripers.
Tips: With it getting cold, fish deep points and look for ledges. purples and pinks worked best for me in the 4" size plastics. Chatterbaits where white/chartreuse. If you can find any stained water thats the only place I was getting shallow fish. Have fun out there!

Report: Carp fishing has been ok. Caught 3 fish over 10 lbs. with pieces of string cheese onb a 3' hook. Caught the first two sight fishing, about 3 feet from shore, last one caught on south end by dam off a shelf.
Tips: Always experiment with bait. Carp will pretty much eat anything you throw at them, but always remember that carp are very easily spooked.

Report: just got back from shasta went with friend pre-fish bass/west/open in a couple weeks. FYI lake is low due to draw/down. if anybody can help us get a hold of a kid who lives on the lake he invented a pulse transmitting drop/shot in 42 dirrent types but it is kept so quiet nobody can get them till after the tournament which SUCKS because it is a long drive. my partner did get 2 of them but 2 big spots gangbanged it and broke 1 off. my partner is still fishing up there with the only 1 left to find fish.but he nedds to get more before the tournament.dropshotters are getting 2lb.avg4/5 but the sloan dropshot method has doubled the bags of those who he sponsers.
Tips: SHASTA STICKS AND THOSE PRE-FISHING SAY THIS IS AS BIG AS WHEN IOVINO GAVE US BRASS & GLASS AND MANY USING THEM THINK A WESTNER MIGHT WHEN THE CLASSIC WITH IT .
