Hensley

Hensley Lake is located at an elevation of 540 feet in the foothills northeast of Madera.

It has 1,570 surface acres and 24 miles of shoreline.

Lake is subject to periods of low water and submerged hazards come into play at this time.

The angler will find largemouth bass, bluegill, catfish, crappie and trout.

Campsites for tents and RV's are available as well as group camping.

Report: Mostly small bass being reported caught here Water level here is very low and calling before heading to the lake is a good idea. Some jig fish are being caught and wacky worm senko's are also working on bass from 12 to 14 inches and in depths of 6 to 20 feet. Traffic is very light during the week FOR MORE INFO 559-673-5151

Report: Smallier bass here on again live bait in med minnows are catchin bass in 15 to 30 feet of water.Jigs are also working here and brushogs well land a few up to 15 inches long

Tips: fish dam area with live bait jigs and brushogs are working on long points flats and brush piles or rock piles. Smallier fish here but fun to catch. trout falling to powerbait off the banks with limits coming pretty easy.
