Lake Piru is located at an elevation of 1,055 feet in the Los Padres National Forest.

It has 1,200 to 750 surface acres.

The Water here is very deep and extremely clear. In season the trout are planted here twice a week, making for a great food source for trophy sized bass.

There is a 35 MPH speed limit on the lake, which also provides a special use area for canoes and kayaks. No windsurfing allowed.

Directions: From I-5, take Highway 126 west to Central exit for Piru. Right turn on Main Street and proceed for ward to entrance.

Report: Had a great day on Lake Piru from the shoreline, but becareful they are letting out a ton of water and the shorelines are very soft and muddy.I started out with a buzzbait and got a 2 pounder right away and that was it. So I broke out a Ima Skimmer I got from the U.S.Open and it was on, I caught 10 bass on this bait until noon. My biggest bass was about 2.8 and I did see one angler get on on a white spinnerbait.
