Morena

Lake Morena sits at an elevation above 3000 ft. 63 miles east of San Diego on the remote eastern slope of the Laguna Mountains and surrounded by thousands of acres of chaparral covered hills, huge old oak trees and large rock formations.

Available species include largemouth bass, trout, catfish, crappie and bluegill. The lake record for bass is a 19 lb. 3 oz. largemouth, and the record trout weighed 9 lb. 6 oz.

The campground consists of 86 individual sites, 58 of which have water and electrical hookups and are comfortably situated in a grove of majestic oaks. Lake Morena has a youth camping site, a primitive camping area on the North Shore, and wilderness cabins.
