Lowell Lake rests at an elevation of feet in Canyon County as part of Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge .

The reservoir has 9,800 surface acres. This shallow, brushy lake lies in the heart of Treasure Valley.

Lake Lowell is fed by water out of Boise River through the New York Canal.

Largemouth and smallmouth bass fishing is the available to the angler. Also present in the lake are rainbow trout, crappie, yellow perch, bluegill, and catfish. Season open year-round. Power craft permitted Apr. 15 through Oct. 1.

Located 5 miles southwest of Nampa.

Report: Excellent fishing from the banks. Caught the first large mouth on about second or third cast. Smallest bass caught all day was 12". Largest was just over 17".
Tips: The bass seem to be hitting on white rubber grubs. It's the only thing they were hitting on all day.
