Pend Oreille Lake
Pend Oreille Lake and River is the largest lake in Idaho, with an area of 180 square miles.
Its overall length is 65 miles and its greatest width is 15 miles. It drains into the Pend Oreille River at Sandpoint.
Lake Pend Oreille is one of three major lakes contained within Idaho Panhandle National Forests.
The lake rests at an elevation of 3444 feet. With a shoreline of 111 miles, its depth has been measured in excess of1,225 feet.
Largemouth and smallmouth bass fishing is the available to the angler. Also present in the lake arekamloops, whitefish, cutthroat, brown trout, bull trout, cutbows and mackinaw, crappie, pumpkin seed sunfish, perch, bullhead peno and squawfish. In 1995, Jim Eversole caught the largest game fish ever taken from Lake Pend Oreille, a 43 lb. 6 oz. mackinaw also known as the lake trout. The lake also claims the world record for a rainbow trout, a 37-pounder caught in 1947 by Wes Hamlet.
The lake's name is derived from an Indian Tribe called Pend Orielles by early French trappers because they wore pendant ornaments in their ear lobes.

Report: my summary is a question.. Do we fish for fun? y/n Catch and realease y/n the whole question is.. how big .. right now , guy's there's something going on with the "biggest bass".. and I'm sure ya guy's know about it..It's a record..blown away by not 3 oz... 3pound.s A record that has been there since the 30's . That's good shit..I tip my hat to the guy's that.."foul hooked it" Hey foul hooked or not.. It's a record....and released... Great job.. What would you do if you were fishing for the biggest Trout..Who has the record...

Tips: Thanks... everyone has foul hooked a fish.. this fish was sitting on her bed..moved the lure off and turned..She was hooked in the dorsal fin and released.. My freind's what do you think.. Take care and I will be up there to catch another big BROWN.....Zack |
