I did a hard reset on my HDS-10 gen 2 to get it back to the stock settings. Just curious if it's a coincidence but the speedometer isn't working now. Also I made the mistake of not checking what transducer was being used before resetting and the cable doesn't have the info tag on it anymore. Out of the 20 options for transducers I'm sure it can be narrowed down to a few I can try for the unit I have. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Speedometer not working after hard reset

What kind of transducer do you have? Trolling motor with temp, Skimmer, pod type with remote temp. Just give me the type and I can tell you the code. As far as the speedometer, are you talking about the analog dash instrument? That has nothing to do with your electronics. What speedometer are you meaning?

Re: Speedometer not working after hard reset
The pod type transducer without the metal temp sensor showing in the bottom of the ducer is a PD/WBL. If you see the 1/4 inch round metal temp sensor when you look at the bottom face of the ducer, it is a PDT/WBL. If the ducer has the short arm that connects to a stainless metal bracket, then the ducer is an HST/WSBL more than likely.
As for the speedometer, this may just be a matter of choosing the "speed over ground" under GPS from the overlay data menu. When you do any reset, either soft or hard, all the overlay data on every screen will need to be re-entered.
