Re: YOU DONT NEED THE BOAT
Bob, how long are we going to have to wait for one of our circuits to build a good one? You have an excellent payback but your, and all of our circuits', idea of promoting is listing your schedule. You think you know what us as fishermen want and so do your competitors. We do not have a single tourn...

Re: I wish we had something like this out here in the West..
Any time a tournament organization requires a certain number of entries to give a boat away, the tournament is doomed. If a tournament is promoted well (this almost never happens), is scheduled well, has a fair payback and is giving a boat away for a $290 entry fee, it would be a big hit. Some of ou...

Tony how can 150 guys lose 12K? Are you saying the same 50 guys are always going to make the money? I don't get this.

Re: I guess I'm wrong
You guys want to talk about house payments and continue to lose about a $1000 to $1500 per event (entry fees, gas, rooms, and the always needed tackle someone else is catching them on). For every 25th place finish you get NO dollars. But I see plenty of $50000 dollar boats and $45000 trucks pulling ...

Re: I've been in this industry a long time…
Nice post, Ron. I sure cannot out-type you. You make some points but I can argue several. Elephant Butte sucks. Great fishery but way too small for a big event. Everyone wants to talk about fishing pro BUT, fishing pro means you need a chance to make money. At our current entry fee and pay out, you ...

Re: BFL's are nice BUT,
If we are wishing, why not wish for a SERIES or TOUR curcuit. I think it would be pretty cool to finish 50th out of 200 boats and win $10000. Think about it. On a 6 tourament schedule, if you made the 50th place check twice, you just payed for all your entrys plus most, if not all, your expenses. If...

Cooch you screwed that up. Ray M. was in pink. Everyone knows okie's wear camo. Don't let this happen again or else. Also if I had to guess who else would be on this band wagon, Mr. Sault, who has a new boat, and Mr. Triton Mike, who needs a good boat.

National Bass and Powell Rods
I'm very happy to let everyone know that Powell Rods has joined forces with National Bass. National Bass is a professionally ran organization with tremendous growth potential and just a bunch of good guys. Powell Rods kicked off at the Anglers Marine Bass-A-Thon in November. We believe we have great...

Wow. I've been out of town doing a little hunting and missed a brawl. :D Nacl, you are priceless. I'd like to nail you with words but you would make me eat them. A warning though, I'm working on something special for you  I really want to thank everyone for your support. It's always special...

That's about it, Dave. I look forward to it. I've always liked to help people with new or used boat sales. I just usually do it by responding with a private message.
Re: E-TEC, Please read- I'll help
The E-TEC is a great engine. Starting December 31 thru March 31, Evinrude is again offering a no charge 7-year warranty or a rebate of $4 per horsepower. I work with many Evinrude dealers and can help you. In fact, I'm offering to help anyone looking to buy a new rig get a fair, no hassle deal. If y...

I totally agree with Dave. 2- 734C Fast Action: Blades, senkos, and most topwaters. 1- 704cb Mod-Fast: jerkbaits and many cranks also smaller topwaters. 1- 706cb Mod-Fast : big cranks and big jerkbaits. 1- 704c extra fast : jig rod. We do not make a swimbait rod yet. I would wait for Mike Long to ma...

Re: Try a POWELL 734C
Look at the 734C. Its has a fast action instead of x-fast. It is 7'3" but don't let that bother you. Its an awesome rod. Also perfect for just about all topwaters, senkos and many other applications. It is our most versitile rod in the line and our #2 seller behind the 704CB Rippin rod. Thanks ...

Check out the new fishing book on all the Northern California waters. This book is in color with over 800 pages on every piece of water you can possibly think of. Was Duh spinnerbaits out before Vyper? I don't remember it that way. I am getting old, I could be wrong. Ray started Vyper and then years later started Revenge baits with much more detail. My main disagreement with you Tony is over the name Revenge. I totally think your wrong on this. It's Revenge o...

The last couple of days have been busy. We have our pro-staff in place. Mike Long will be designing 3 models of swimbait rods. Tony Franchesci, Roy Hawk, Armondo Luzuriaga, Bernie Gaunt, John Harper, and Tom Matsunaga are all helping me with some additional bass rods. I am working with a couple more...

GARY DOBYNS AND RIVER 2 SEA- NO LONGER
I have received many e-mails from Western Bass readers about my sponsorship with R2S. I have been out of town for the last 8 days and apparently missed some R2S postings. I have been contacted by two different tackle shops that have placed orders for "my" jerkbaits. I am no longer with R2S...

I don't normally say negative things about our sport or tournaments curcuits. I almost called Tony and asked him to not run the question after I thought about. BASS treated our western anglers second class at the 99 Classic. I can remember like yesterday telling my wife "I don't care if I ever ...
