Gen 1 vs. Gen 2. SS xducer
Currently have a SS xducer/Down/side scan mounted that came with my Gen 2 HDS-8. Purchased a Gen 3 unit with a newer SS xducer (HD). I don't feel like removing the old version due to time and effort of getting the wires rerouted and pulled thru the gunnel again. Then I have to install the new SS xdu...

Good Gawd. 1/2 million dollars for a ramp extension (250' L x 70' W)? Just the paperwork and documentation fees alone could feed a few families for the year. No wonder they won't build out permanent facilities, it would cost well over $8 Ga-zillion dollars.

$150 - Day Lauch Fee - Would you pay it?
Yes, it's true. Vail Lake in Southern Calif. is charging that daily fee for fishing boats and $250 for "pleasure boats". This is a very small lake that can have some awesome 30+ fish days, but as of late the lake been not fishing as strong as it has in the past. The lake was managed by a p...

Brian,
When you took me fishing there, years ago, they had that huge bank of high class trailer bathrooms. Now those are closed, and all they have is porta potties.
Who provides those, the lake or the concessionaire?[/quote]
I believe its the MWD.

Is Bass fishing a sport?
It’s been argued and debated in garages, man caves, fishing blogs and over the internet for years. But even when the touted premier sports channel and media outlet "ESPN" doesn’t even give the 2015 Bassmaster Classic a casual mention of it on their site or channel, it gets me to wondering....

Solar panels wont be able to charge enough to be noticeable. Kinda like a water faucet dripping and being in the desert. Same goes for the battery charging systems. Unless you run large bodies of water at 30-45 min runs, the charge will be negligible. I hear good things with the Lithium batteries wi...

Miss fishing that area. River can be sketchy with low water and shifting sandbars... ding'd a few props too. Been a few years since i have fished that area but usually launch out of the Cibola bridge area and of course the McIntire RV resort area. Small river fishing at its finest.

For me, Yes. DL. Between sponsor activities/events, club derbies, charity/warrior, BASS Nation, and Won Open events nearly every date there is a conflict... for me. Oh and that darn quagga quarantine period doesn't help either. Just need to prioritize and let the poison out.

not sure Jeff. I have the dates on my schedule, but there seem to be too many conflicting events all scheduled for the same weekend. Makes it hard to fish any one circuit consistently and to qualify for the season-end event.
