Re: Tracy bass tourneys
Sounds great I'm in. I was out there today and man I found some good spots and caught a good amount but nothing big. I also like how they have a Sunday brunch so the wife can have breakfast and wait for me and watch weigh ins. Sounds like fun.

Re: Tracy bass tourneys
So just top 3 gets paid correct? Also do you know how many boaters they roughly get at these tourneys? I'm just trying to plan and kinda have a idea of tourneys that I wanna do this up coming season. I think I'm going to also fish the BBT unless there's a better team tourney trail out there. I've do...

Tracy bass tourneys
Just wondering how the tracy tourneys are on the weekends? I'm going to do them regardless but looking for some feedback and see roughly how many boats they get. The season starts on 9-20-14 so if anyone has done them please give me some 411 on them.

Re: Looking to start tournament fishing
Best thing to do would post it up here on western bass that your looking for a partner and what region. You can also look at that regions tourney director and give them a call and let them know your looking for a partner cause they get calls of anglers looking for partners. I wouldn't mind one bit f...

Where to launch
I'm headed to the delta in a few hours, just seeing where's the good bite coming out of? I was at ladds two days ago and caught roughly 30 non keepers but I wanna see more of the delta so I'm thinking of launching out of Tracy. If any of you have suggestions please let me know by early afternoon. Th...

Re: Current McClure ramps?
Today I went to ladds from 5:30-12, caught 20 non keepers but catching fish constantly. Got home around 1:30 and went up to Pedro. The lake is down but still a good lake to go fish still. Caught 5 , only 2 keepers but overall the lake is still very fishable. Now heading in I've seen something that I...

Re: Looking to start tournament fishing
Yeah just sign up for whatever region works best for you and fish that region plus fish any of the other regions. I believe you have to fish 6 tourneys total to fish the TOC. The tourneys I fished were out of russos and boy do they put a good tourney together. They cart you around and the weigh in g...

Re: Looking to start tournament fishing
How ya doing Brian? I just started tourney fishing myself and man it's fun. A great tourney trail is the BBT if you ask me. I did a few opens and man does randy Pringles put on a great tourney. I'm fishing it full time next season but take a look at it and find a region for you and go for it. It's f...

By chance do you know of a good video to help teach me how to tie a leader knot? I appreciate all the 411 thanks a lot.

Re: $100 entry Team Format - Who is fishing?
I'm all about getting our youth off the tech world and get them invoked in the real world. Growing up going fishing with the old man was like Christmas Eve to me. Now days the only fishing kids do is video game type fishing. I think if us anglers get the youthore involved it will have a domino effec...

Looking for a dependable battery charger
I recently purchased a boat and I'm going to buy a battery charger, I was wondering what is a good charger to get at a good price. Raising 4 lil ones on one income is tough so I can't afford top of the line but I can spend a ok amount for a reliable charger. Thanks once again fellow anglers and I ca...

Re: What line to use with minimal combos?
I'm using 2 tatulas and 1 revo sx , I have floro on one Tatula and floro on the other 2. I tied a leader on the braid. I love flippin and use cranks and jerk baits. I appreciate the feedback and I know I may sound dumb with the question but I figure why not ask. Thanks fellas, see y'all at bassfest ...

Re: Can't remove rear seat post
Ok we got a team of guys and we're going to get that thing loose, lol. I was wondering do you think maybe heating it up and then trying to pull it off would work? The thing about us anglers is we're going to help each other out, I didn't mean to say the hammer idea wasn't good I was just sharing wha...

Gets no better than that right there. We need more young men like that fishing instead of playing video games. Way to go young man, it only gets better when you grow up and take the old man out on your ranger.

Re: Can't remove rear seat post
If the chair is attached try getting a solid chair and use a car jack. Get the jack as close as you can to the center of the seat underneath and as you jack it up lightly tsp the shaft with either a rubber mallet or a hammer with a towel so you don't put marks on your shaft. As I've said before a fr...

Re: Can't remove rear seat post
One more thing if whatever type of wrench you use I would use a breaking bar to put on the end of the wrench instead of hitting it with a hammer. A hammer causes sudden jars and will put marks in the shaft. With the breaking bar you get constant push/pull instead of a sudden jar .

Re: Can't remove rear seat post
A friend of mine had the same problem. What he and I did was soak it with WD 40 and if you have a chain wrench, grab that then grab a very thin towel or heavy duty shop towel (wypalls). Put the chain wrench around the towel and turn. The towel will prevent any marks and with a chain wrench it will g...

What line to use with minimal combos?
I've been fishing the delta more than usual and have been fishing Pedro and McClure also. I'm tired of deciding what specific line to use, so my question is if you have 3 nice combos what type of line would you put on your 3 reels? I really like floro but I notice a lot of anglers using braid for th...
