Rubber Mats for BASS Boats
If BASS is going to continue to resist allowing the anglers to use nets in their tournaments, then they should require each boat to have a rubber 'landing mat' on the boat so that the bass are not flopping around on the boat carpet, thereby damaging their protective slime coating. If they care about...

Here's my conspiracy theory. Back in the 60s the Mafia had control of most of the labor unions. One of their big cash cows, believe it or not, was the concrete business. I put a Humminbird Helix 7si at the console of my 18ft Ranger. And all of the other boats want to compare themselves to Ranger. And most of the time they want to compare their top-of-the-line, because none of them can compare model-for-model. When the fish are on the beds and you can hide behind a tulle patch and drop the bait right onto the bed, and the fish can't even see the boat. Yeah, that's when the ten footers are going to come out. Saw a guy damn near clean out a cove full of bass on the beds at a small local lake by doing that e...

Hey 'oldie but a goodie', please let me know what quotes you get for getting the boat recarpeted.
I have a 1997 Ranger R80, and got a quote of $2000, which I thought was ridiculous.
I'd appreciate hearing what you find.

There is a formula that is pretty accurate for determining the weight of a bass. All you need to know is the length and girth of the fish.
