Byron Hirata caught and released this 8.31. Caught using a Yamamoto Senko near the west dam!

Don't get it. DVL should have been producing so many lunkers by now, like 16-20 lbs, don't you think? Giant new lake, plenty of bait, and yet Mike Long gets the largest fish yet landed like the second year it opened, and nothing since. What's with that guys?

All I need to get into the money would be the four I usually get along with a 20# kicker.

The stripers caught and decimated the bait and lapped the LMB. Fluctuating water levels affected the bass more than I think poeple thought it would. there are still big fish in the lake, but they run with the stripers and are very eductated fish. The glory days of the lake are gone until the drought has been over for 5-10 years...
