How to update maps and charts

I am starting my research for the upcoming fishing season. One of the best research tools for looking at lakes is for me to update my mapping charts, phone app and tablet app so that I can study the lakes. Updated data allows for finding locations that are likely to hold fish. The data for these lakes is being updated on a regular basis and I want to make sure that I have the latest update.
