We caught fish on all kinds of techniques; Ned Rig, football heads, neko rig, crankbaits, topwaters and I'm sure a few things I forgot about. The fish were very healthy for it being a post-spawn/summer time of year. One of the bass was one of the fattest I have ever seen. It barely hit 17" on the ruler but weighed in a 3.99lbs. A real porker.

The new Revo Rocket is a blazing fast 10.1:1 gear ratio reel. It is very fast and brings in 41" for each turn of the handle. Yes, it is sort of limited to what techniques it will be good for, but it is great for things like flipping, pitching and topwaters.

The trip was a success as we caught some other solid fish and enjoyed the early Summer weather in the PNW. I think the reel definitely has a time and place and besides the speed it was a solid performer and felt good in hand.
