Anaheim,
Calif - Bridgford Foods
adds FLW Tour angler Luke Clausen to their 2015 professional angling team. Bridgford Foods will replace Chevy as Clausen's title
sponsor. Clausen said, "Innovation, high quality, and consistency are
major attributes of the Bridgford Foods company and
those are qualities I value in a company I represent. I am looking forward to
working with Bridgford's marketing team to increase
their sales of their premium Pepperoni and Beef Jerky products as well as
continue to elevate their overall brand awareness."
Clausen, the 2006 Bassmaster Classic Champion and 2004 Forrest Wood Cup
Champion is one of only five anglers to win both major titles, and the youngest
angler to ever do so. Also in 2006, Clausen became the youngest angler to reach
the one million dollar career earnings mark. To date, Clausen has four major
tournament wins along with 26 top-ten finishes for a total of over two million
dollars in career earnings.
Allan Bridgford said, "We are excited and
honored to have reached a long-term agreement with Luke Clausen. In the future,
Luke will be an integral part of Bridgford's
professional angling team. In addition to being a FLW Cup and Bassmasters Classic Champion, Luke's business savvy and
impeccable reputation, embodies Bridgford Foods
commitment to integrity and our reputation, of being the PREMIUM BRAND. Bridgford's industry-leading sales growth in the Pepperoni
and Beef Jerky business has been phenomenal the last few years. We attribute a
large part of this success to our unique marketing program and association with
professional bass fishing."
Bridgford Foods' roots trace back to 1932 when found
Hugh H. Bridgford opened a retail market in San
Diego, California. Since then Bridgford Foods has evolved
into a bread and dough manufacturer along with manufacturing a plethora of meat
snacks and shelf-stable sandwiches. Today, Bridgford
Foods employs over 500 employees, sells products in all 50 states and several
other countries. Bridgford Foods is a NASDAQ National
Market System company (BRID) with approximately 1000 shareholders. However, the
company remains over 80% family and employee owned.
As Clausen's title sponsor for 2015 Bridgford will be
the main logo on Clausen's boat, truck and jersey. Clausen is looking forward
to having a new unique look on tour for the season. Clausen said, "It
might take some getting used to because I have been with Chevy for so long. I
really like the people at Bridgford Foods and think
this is a great fit. I will be proud to represent them as I look to qualify for
my tenth Forrest Wood Cup in twelve seasons."
